The Black Rifle Coffee Company is a veteran owned, veteran staffed, premium coffee vendor based in Salt Lake City Utah. It’s founder, Evan Hafer, is an Iraqi war veteran who presumably began roasting coffee beans in his combat helmet outside Fallujah.
Before they began buying ads on The Dana Loesch and Sean Hannity radio shows, perhaps their biggest claim to fame was Hafer’s response to “Hipsterbuck’s” (Starbucks) goal in the wake of drumpf’s Muslim Ban of hiring 10,000 refugees for it’s outlets. Hafner countered by offering to employ 10,000 veterans in his company, a laudable if ridiculous aim, given That Black Rifle currently employs about 75 people.
Evan has some opinions about “hipsters”….
“A hipster is somebody that is conforming to an urban subculture, specifically around a style. And that style is the urban environment around a specific product: bicycles or coffee or other specific products. The funny thing is that we're the same over here. We understand that. We have our own uniforms and our own way to look and feel. We're really similar, we just like different things. I'm not going to be banging out a haiku on a typewriter anytime soon just because my friends think it's cool. No Polaroids, no taking a picture of a picture of a picture with a cat wearing a derby hat. We are artists and creatives, and truly enjoy building, designing ,and implementing. Our biggest thing is that we try to entertain and try to create content and value through humor. Our marketing is based on humor, on making fun of our culture.”

The BRCC’s attempt at humor is deeply offensive. It’s openly, unconscionably and violently anti-gay. The pseudo-water boarding torture sequence is shocking, well beyond the pale. The video’s tag line “Black Rifle Coffee. It’s not for BLEEPing pussies” adds insult to injury.

Civilian homosexuals have just as much a right to defend themselves by force of arms as straight Special Forces veterans. A right the LGBT community is well-advised to exercise.”
