It gets kinda confusing reading the news on the internets somedays, two conflicting reports about Thersa May and her objectives in Davos, Switzerland being today’s prime example.
First, I saw this video report tweeted by BBC News, with Ms. May touting the American/Britain “Special Relationship” as being "as strong as ever" and saying drumpf was welcome to visit “in due course”, whatever the hell that means, given as hell is unlikely to freeze over in whatever time is left to the drump travestency …
..and then I tuned into this conflicting report from The Week, an online U.K. journal that opines that May seeks “to repair that “‘special relationship’ with Trump”.
Tricky job that, repairing something that is not broke, Theresa.
Be that as it may, The Week article highlights some reporting by Bloomberg that would seem to make any efforts to repair anything rather fruitless…
“Some commentators fear the PM will struggle to be heard by Trump at all during their meeting in Davos, Switzerland.
“During formal phone calls between the two leaders, May finds it almost impossible to make headway and get her points across,” Bloomberg says. ”Trump totally dominates the discussion, leaving the Prime Minister with five or ten seconds to speak before he interrupts and launches into another monologue.”
It will be hard to solve the problem of renewed Russian Aggression in Eastern Europe in five second sound bites….
“May is likely to keep the focus on common ground: North Korea, Islamic State, and the Iran nuclear deal, The Daily Telegraph reports. “But the thornier issue of Russian aggression in Europe is less likely to be raised as the Prime Minister seeks to soothe relations and not stoke further tensions,” says Sky News correspondent Beth Rigby.”
My advice to the PM is to tell the man-child to sod off and pound sand forthwith...maybe that will get the attention of adults in the maladministration — if there are any.
You can’t solve problems with someone who won’t let you talk, Ms. May.
And the only thing special about drumpf is his special brand of idiocy.
