It would be one thing to call the opposite party obstructionist if there was unanimity within your own party in support of a bill.
But in the case of the vote last night to fund the government and avoid the shut down there was no such consensus among Republicans with Sens. Jeff Flake, Rand Paul, Mike Lee, Lindsey Graham and Mitch McConnell voting no.
Yes, McConnell voted no.
That means keeping the government open so that Trump and Co. could unleash more havoc upon the nation would have required 14 Democratic votes, an eventuality no one could have expected, and still, Sanders had the nerve to open her pie hole to bad mouth Democrats.
CNN:
"Tonight, they put politics above our national security, military families, vulnerable children, and our country's ability to serve all Americans," White House press secretary Sarah Sanders said in a statement moments before midnight. "We will not negotiate the status of unlawful immigrants while Democrats hold our lawful citizens hostage over their reckless demands. This is the behavior of obstructionist losers, not legislators."

Democratic Senator Claire McCaskill of Missouri offered a measure that would have kept funding going for military pay and death benefits... and Leader McConnell objected and killed it, leaving the troops in a lurch.
And, getting back to Yurtle, why did he vote no with the supposed Democratic obstructionists anyway?
The other Republican “No” votes were easier to understand.
Senators Mike Lee and Rand Paul presumably voted no because the bill did not cut Government funding to the levels of a teenager’s weekly allowance.
Lindsey Graham vote no because he wants to protect dreamers and doesn’t take kindly to being called a lair in public.
Jeff Flake voted to shut down because McConnell and drumpf are lying fascistic A-Holes of the first order.
But why the leader of your own party in the Senate, Sarah?
Answer me that before you spill more lies from your ever yawning yap….
