The owner of Le Bilboquet, a ritzy Dallas Restaurant where ritzy Republican diners like to gather, Stephan Courseau, regrets hosting drumpf Jr.’s birthday bash, and swears that the cookie with the really bad Obama likeness did not come out of his kitchen; but Jr.’s proud Instagram post of the monstrosity is causing him a world of hurt….
“The Dallas Observer, the city's alternative weekly newspaper, reported on calls to boycott the city's ritzy Le Bilboquet restaurant, where Trump Jr., Cruz and the Obama cookie had gathered for a party over the weekend.
Le Bilboquet's owner consequently disavowed the pastry in an open letter to his customers, expressing “indignation” that people unknown had brought the cookie into his restaurant “to promote, disrespect, and spread hatred.”
“A lot of you have been shocked and appalled to hear that Donald Trump Jr. and Ted Cruz celebrated a birthday of a friend at Le Bilboquet with a cake with our former president Barack Obama's face on it,” Courseau wrote. (on Instagram)
“Let me be clear, I share your indignation without any reservation.”
Courseau noted he was a French man who had married a Mexican woman and believed in “universal values of love, respect and tolerance,” to which the cookie was antithetical.”
Now the owner has taken down the Restaurant’s Facebook page and won’t speak to the press.
I believe the poor guy is sincere and is guilty of nothing other than renting air to two despicable human beings…. er...primates of some sort.
I hope he gets his business sorted out in short order (heh) and is more careful who he lets into it from now on.
