Philadelphia Mayor Calls drumpf "A Punk".

Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney gets it.

You don’t negotiate with terrorists.

You can’t talk to a man with a shot gun in his hand.

You don’t play nice with bullies.

You have to (figuratively) knock them out.

Kenney had this to say when the White House announced its intention to strip Protected Immigrant Status from 59,000 Haitians sheltering in the United States from the devastating (and still not repaired) effects of the massive earthquake that wrecked havoc on the island nation seven years ago:

Philly Voice

“Our president is a bully,” Kenney said. “Our president is a punk, and he just doesn’t get it. I don’t know where he was raised, but his family didn’t do a good job raising that guy, I’ll tell you the truth.

Could you imagine if they ended TPS for the Irish when we came here in the 1840s? Sent us all back to starve in our home country?” Kenney asked at City Hall.

This country used to be a country of compassion and empathy and it is now a country of anger and divisiveness and Donald Trump is the reason why we’ve gotten where we are.”

This is pretty much unprecedented.

Philly has a rich tradition of outspoken and brusque mayors, who were not shy about calling out officials of the opposite party with whom they disagreed.

After all this is a city that has a rep for booing even its own sports franchises when they under-perform (clearly not the case with this year’s Eagles) and deserves no less from it’s elected officials.

But calling a sitting President a punk?

That’s one for the books.

Thank You, Jim Kenney, for telling it like it is.

Expecting a Twitter hissy fit from the Punk-in-Chief in 3...2…1….
