The official White House Facebook Page posted the above photo yesterday in a feature titled “President Trump's Trip Abroad” but which I like to call drumpf’s Rolling Crap Waddle Review.
The photo caption did not identify the Husband of Luxembourg’s Prime Minister, the well turned out Gauthier Destenay, and dated the event in the very distant future.
After much hue and cry, most notably on Twitter…
...The White House changed the post, acknowledging Destenay, but still not getting the date right.
White House spokesbot Stephanie Grisham had this to say.
“But deputy press secretary Stephanie Grisham insists the omission was an 'oversight.'Thousands of photos were taken over the course of a very big, very busy international trip,' she said in an email to a reporter from the Washington Blade.”
All well that ends well I suppose, Luxembourg’s happy first couple seemed to take it all in stride:
