So, they got Sean Hannity on the radio at work this afternoon, and, after listening to him wax indignant about the mean old Democrats making Sessions have to come to the microphone and lie his ass off once again, I catch him talking to Rand Paul and I kinda pay attention for a few minutes.
You’ll have to trust me on what Rand said, as I can’t find a transcript yet.
They were talking repeal and replace and as you probably know Paul’s spent the better part of the day ransacking the Capitol, trying to get a copy of the super duper secret plan, not knowing it’s stuck up Paul Ryan’s bunghole.
But no worries, Rand says, he knows what’s in it.
1. They’re gonna keep the mandate, folks’ll just pay the fines to the insurance companies instead of the gubment.
2. They’ll keep the subsidies.
3. They’ll keep the “Cadillac Tax”.
In other words they ain’t doin’ shit except shoveling money to the insurers and the gubment will be left holding the tab for the subsidies.
Hannity sounded like he’d been smacked by a 2X4 and mumbled a bit before the lightbulb came on and said...”but you and Mike Lee and Ted Cruz won’t vote for that!”
“No, we won’t.” Said Paul
Which probably means the R&R will fail to get passed, “Obamacare” stays, and they’ll try to blame the Democrats their wonderful plan went down like the Hindenburg.
But, boy, will Hannityjob be pissed!
