Chris Ladd is mad as hell about Donald Trump winning the nomination and he’s not gonna take it anymore.
Chris Ladd wrote in a letter he sent to his local party’s chairman in suburban Chicago and posted to his blog Friday that “There is no redemption in being one of the ‘good Nazis.’”
"I resolved back in the spring that I would leave the party if we gave the nomination to Trump, without really believing it could happen," Ladd, a 46-year-old tech employee, wrote in an email to the Daily News. "I hung on until Trump officially secured the nomination out of a quiet hope that a resistance might emerge and quite frankly out of a certain degree of denial. When it became clear that Trump would in fact be the nominee and my state and local party organizations would not be registering some public dissent, I felt I had no choice."
In light of today’s happenings I found it comforting to know the GOP is not one big happy family either.
It’s like Nancy P. said after getting booed today:
“Well, you know, it’s the Democratic Party," she told reporters after the breakfast. "We’ve never been a monolith, and we’ve always tried to reach consensus. But unanimity has never — it’s just an impossibility for any party.”
