Classic Cleveland based R&Bers, the O’jays are telling Trump to jump off their classic tune “Love Train” which the RNC has appropriated without their permission.  Here are the O’Jays performing “Love Train” back in the day.

Yeah, when I hear that song I think of the 2016 RNC…

/s.

“I don’t appreciate being associated with Mr. Trump and his usage of our music without permission," said original O'Jays member Walter Williams, who has battled MS for many years and takes issue with Trump’s disparagement of people with disabilities, in the statement.

The O'Jays, who are members of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and were formed in Canton, Ohio (which is an hour away from the Cleveland convention) were actually invited to appear at the event. They rejected that offer. Another one of their songs, For the Love of Money, is the theme song for Trump's reality show The Apprentice.

The band members say they are, however, willing to participate in the Democratic National Convention next week in Philadelphia.

But the O’jays Have suggested another tune more suitable for play for the cons of Cleveland…

Below the fold.
