Mike Pence may be the inside horse for the pick but Lt. Gen. Michael T. Flynn (Ret.), former Pro-Choice Democrat, recently floated as the Donald’s possible V.P. choice, isn’t ready to surrender the Naval Observatory just yet, telling Faux News today -
"This pro-choice issue is a legal issue that should be decided by the courts," Flynn told on Fox News. "I believe in law. If people want to change the law, they should vote so that we can appoint pro-life judges. I believe the law should be changed."
Guess someone should tell the General that this issue was decided, some forty-five years ago and reversing it would probably require at least 5 or 6 changes on SCOTUS, but it’s good to know you stand firm on the issue, Mike.
Flynn said Sunday that it was up to women "to make the decision" about whether to end a pregnancy, a position squarely contradicting the Republican Party's long-held opposition to abortion rights.
