Conservative columnist and Ethics and Public Policy Center Judge Whisperer Ed Whelan posted a bizarre alt-reality Twitter thread yesterday positing that Brett Kavanaugh did not attempt to rape Christine Blasey Ford but that a prep school classmate of Kavanaugh who looked something nothing like him…
….did, based on the compelling evidence that the home he grew up in had an upstairs hallway bath…

If you don’t want to read anything more about it, which is completely understandable and shows a health regard for protecting your sanity, basically Whelan, who used to be a somewhat respected figure rather than the pants drooping laughing-stock he is now destined to become, accuses the doppleganger, whose name I will not drag through the mud, of the attempted rape using twenty-seven eight-by-ten color glossy photographs with circles and arrows and a paragraph on the back of each one explaining what each one was, to be used as evidence.... took pictures of the approach the getaway, the northwest corner the southwest corner and that's not to mention the aerial photography.

My contribution to this sorry episode is that I am here to attest, without textual evidence, that Hannity promoted this steaming pile of you-know-what on his radio show yesterday, stating that “evidence exonerating Kavanaugh” would soon plop onto the American collective consciousness.
And also that a Orrin Hatch staffer, slow on the delete button, was caught promoting Whelan’s Magical Misrepresentation Tour to his twitter followers the day before yesterday…
For her part, Dr. Christine Blasey Ford says she knew both Kavanaugh and his doppelganger well and would never confuse the two…
If this farce proves anything, it proves Kavanaugh did what Ford claims he did and that his boosters will try to do anything to muddy the waters.
I personally think the good Doctor will destroy this whole troop of clowns.
